Chocolate banana bread

A chocolatey twist on the regular banana bread that's super easy to make and loads of room for adding/changing your own ingredients. Feel free to use plain flour instead of the GF spelt if you like.

  • 250g Spelt Flour

  • 100g Coconut Sugar

  • 1 and a half tbsp Cocoa Powder

  • 1/2 tsp Sodium Bicarbonate

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 1/2 tsp Allspice

  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil

  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup

  • 3 ripe Bananas

  • 60ml Almond Milk

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 50g Walnuts

  • 50g Dark Chocolate

  1. Pour all of the ingredients except the dark chocolate and walnuts into a food processor and blend until combined.

  2. Break up the dark chocolate and chop the walnuts before adding them to the mixture.

  3. Give it a mix!

  4. Pour mixture into loaf tin (lined or greased) & bake for 60-65 mins until skewer comes out clean.

  5. Leave to cool before slicing and serving (roughly 8 servings).
