Since I've been staying home, I've found myself snacking way more than usual! Therefore, I've started looking for healthier snacks to help fill me up and not leave me so feeling guilty. This recipe is perfect for those who find themselves in the same situation as myself. Only 5 ingredients and SO easy to make! It also makes for a great post-workout treat, high in natural peanut protein. 🙌🏼
What you’ll need
1 cup of natural peanut butter, stirred well
1/3 cup of maple syrup or honey
1 cup of almond flour
1 cup of dark broken up dark chocolate
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
Additional dark chocolate chips (If desired)
In a small pot, add the peanut butter and maple syrup/honey over low heat until combined.
Remove from heat and stir in the almond flour until a dough forms.
Fold in dark chocolate chips if desired.
Roll the dough into balls and place on a plate/baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow to set in the freezer
Melt the cup of broken up dark chocolate and coconut oil until smooth. Remove balls from the freezer and dip into the chocolate and place back on the parchment paper.
Place in the fridge to set, and then store in an air tight container in the fridge.
