Performance Flapjacks

Fuel your workout or start your day right with some healthy flapjacks using our very own Forager Cacao & Matcha Powder. They are so full of flavour, easy to make, once you try this delicious recipe you will find that they are a little bit addictive.

I've been playing around with recipes trying to incorporate our products into new delicious creations using natural ingredients. I love snacking and I wanted to enjoy something that isn't packed with sugar to help fuel my workouts. I'm super happy with this recipe and that's why I'm sharing it with you!

Tools & Equipment:

  • Mixing Bowl

  • Greaseproof Paper

  • Roasting Tin

  • Spatula

  • Saucepan

  • Bowl


  • 1 Egg

  • 3 Bananas

  • Rolled Oats

  • 5 Tbsp of Almond Butter (any alternative will do)

  • 4 Tbsp of Honey

  • 1 Tbsp of Forager Cacao & Matcha

  • Melted Dark Chocolate (for drizzle)


  1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Mash the bananas in the mixing bowl, add in the egg, honey, almond butter and Cacao & Matcha powder. Stir until smooth and combined

  2. Slowly add in handfuls of oats whilst mixing until you get the right consistency. You want it so the mixture holds its shape but not dry to the touch.

  3. Line your roasting tin with greaseproof paper. Pour the mixture in and use the spatula to press it down. The bars should be an inch thick.

  4. Bake for 10/15 minutes (depending on how soft you want the flapjacks to be)

  5. Whilst the flapjacks are cooling off. Slice into 10cm long bars.

  6. Boil 1/4 saucepan of water and break up the dark chocolate into a bowl. When the water is boiled, take it off the heat and place the bowl into the saucepan. Stir until the chocolate is melted. (Be careful not to cook the chocolate, take the bowl out when melted)

  7. Use a fork to dip into the melted chocolate and slowly drizzle over the cooled flapjack bars. Place bars in a cool area to harden the drizzle.

  8. There you have it! Delicious Performance Flapjacks, ready to eat!

To Store:

Place the flapjacks in an airtight container. Keep them in the refrigerator and enjoy them within 5-7 days (if they don't all get eaten in 1 day)
