Since the start of Forager, we have always looked for ways to support a variety of charities with campaigns dedicated to amazing causes. However, there is one cause that stands out the most with how it brings meaning to our customer base and is something that myself and co-founder Sam truly want to get behind. This is the supporting Mental Health.
Our products are not only designed to improve aspects of physical health but also create a whole experience around drinking tea that gives an increased sense of wellness. The ritual of drinking a warm cup of herbal tea is truly soothing and helps provide a sense of calm. A lot of the ingredients that we use are anti-inflammatory, adaptogenic and proven to relieve stress.
But it doesn't stop there. We are so excited to announce that we will be partnering with the Mental Health Foundation in order to help raise overall awareness around mental health as well as donating 8% of all profits to the cause!
About the organisation
Since 1949, the Mental Health Foundation has been the UK’s leading charity for everyone’s mental health. With prevention at the heart of what they do, they aim to find and address the sources of mental health problems so that people and communities can thrive.
The Mental Health Foundation takes a public approach to prevention, finding solutions for individuals, those at risk and for society, in order to improve everyone’s mental wellbeing. Here are some of the ways that they approach the issue:
Community and peer programmes; Testing and evaluating the best approaches to improving mental health in communities and then rolling them out as widely as possible.
Research; Publishing studies and reports on what protects mental health and the causes of poor mental health and how to tackle them.
Public engagement; Giving advice to millions of people on mental health. They are most well known for running Mental Health Awareness Week across the UK each year.
Advocacy; Proposing solutions and campaign for change to address the underlying causes of poor mental health.
